What Board to Choose When Going on a Golfing Holiday With Your Society “The first ten years of the SSGS have been an overwhelming success, building up from a handful to more than 300 members and, over the next ten years, I can’t see anything other than its continued evolution.” It was the brainchild of Gordon MacDonald – a European Senior Tour pro for five years – and, from starting with just six golfers, it now boasts more than 300 active members. The format for bothscratch and handicap teams is three pairs playing fourball better ball in onDays 1 & 2 with two scores counting from three and six singles playing onDay 3 with four scores counting from six. The scratch team will play medalplay for the Championship on one golf course and the handicap team will playstableford for the Cup on the other golf course. The SSGS have been invited by the European Seniors GolfAssociation to enter two teams of 6 players to compete for the ESGA TeamChampionship & Cup to be played at Kytaja GC, Finland from 29thJune to 4th July 2026.
- Practice rounds can be booked at a cost of £45 (50%reduction on visitor rates) for the week preceding the event or for Sunday 19th,all subject to availability.
